"Why Would Anyone Trade Orlando for Hillsboro?"

I've been asked numerous times, "Why would someone leave a great position with Sara Lee in Orlando, Florida to move to Hillsboro, Missouri?"  The answer is really quite simple. After nine years in the Sunshine State, I was ready to watch the seasons change again & the Jefferson Co. area looks very much like the area I grew up in, upstate N.Y., the Adirondack Mt. foothills.  With its rolling hills & small farms, dotted with placid lakes, you have almost a mirror image of this in Jefferson County.  However, Missouri doesn't get 100" of snow a winter!

It was 1980 when I moved from Florida to Cedar Hill & built a small farm with a huge garden. This was a great place to raise my two daughters!  By 1989 you could see the growth that was coming to Jefferson Co. & I decided to get back into sales.  I went back to school, received my broker's license & began a new career in the real estate business.  In 1991 I moved to Lake Tishomingo, where I continue to reside with my wife, Liz.  My oldest daughter moved into Lake Tishomingo in the fall of 2003 with her husband, two sons & now a daughter.
Farms & lakes are a great place to raise children!

Jefferson County has been our home for over 25 years, and yes, we love it!!  Please allow me to show you a little slice of our backyard, the rolling hills, small farms & lakes of Jefferson County.
